Target Practice Advertising Campaign for Seattle Art Museum
One of many advertising campaigns I led at SAM. After the devastation of WW2, artists threw away their paintbrushes, and stabbed, burned, and shot their canvases instead.

The Solution

The artworks on display were difficult and challenging, perhaps inaccessible to some. But the artist’s concept behind them, fascinating. So, I decided to use the tools – the ‘paintbrushes’ – to tell the story.

The Results

In the context of seeing the campaign, audiences turned out in droves to see this show. Never underestimate the public!
